During the spring and summer months the landscape surrounding the shores of Lake Geneva transforms into a blast of colour with vivid foliage carpeting the countryside, this is mirrored every Saturday and Wednesday morning on the streets of Lausanne at the local farmers market which offers a wide range of fresh produce. This traditional Swiss market includes stalls filled with fresh fruit and vegetables and an abundance of flowers, transporting the brilliant colours of the countryside into the historic cobbled streets of the city. When we visit the Beau-Rivage Palace during a weekend, this is always our first stop after a walk around the lake!
